Could you describe your regular day at your current role? What does it look like?

Purpose

The purpose of this question is to quickly recognize what the candidate's previous role was about. It's an opener to establish a context and follow-up questions.

The candidate will usually briefly describe

• Basic details about the role
• The processes his company is/was using
• Tools
• Responsibilities
• Size of the team
• People/roles he was communicating with

During this question the candidate's communication and presentation skills can be evaluated.

If the language skills are needed for non-native speakers, it is good idea to ask the candidate to swich to the language that will be needed for the role.
